Satisfying Africa's Hunger for Discovery, Truth

Across Africa, millions are hungry for biblical truth—and missionaries are asking for help.

More than a dozen missionary families have requested Light for the Lost support to provide Discovery Series and Living the Truth resources to tens of thousands of Assemblies of God believers. As we begin 2026, we invite you to partner with us by designating an offering to meet this urgent need.

Discovery Series
Pastor Paul in Cameroon is living proof of God’s power. A witch doctor once told his pregnant mother to abort because she was “pregnant with a baboon.” She fled, gave birth safely, and raised Paul to serve Jesus.

Today, Paul is a pastor ministering in rural communities where witchcraft and animism remain strong. Like thousands of African pastors, he depends on biblically sound, culturally relevant tools to proclaim the gospel.

In addition to his Bible, Paul uses Discovery Series books—written specifically for the African context—for study and sermon preparation. All 45 planned Discovery Series titles need to be translated and printed in 18 major African languages.

Living the Truth
Sam and Elizabeth (pictured below) are surrounded by spirit worship and witchcraft in Sierra Leone. They are determined to teach their children the true gospel and share Christ with their neighbors. Living the Truth is a seven-year Bible study created for African families to use in church and at home.

Where Living the Truth is available, believers are notably stronger in their faith, more Bible-literate, and more evangelistic. LFTL helps translate and print tens of thousands of Living the Truth resources in at least 10 languages—but the work cannot move forward without new funding.
